This one came from my kids. Every holiday it was the same story. Someone buys the gift nobody asked for. The things they actually want are oddly specific, the kind of thing no one could guess. And I end up as the relay, passing lists from the kids to grandparents and aunts by text, hoping nobody doubles up.
So I built them their own list. They add the real thing, with a real link, and send one link to the family. Whoever buys something claims it, nobody buys the same gift twice, and I am out of the middle.
What I built
- One private link per family, with a list for each kid.
- Type a wish for instant product ideas, or paste a link from any store.
- Family members claim gifts quietly, so nothing gets bought twice.
- Keeps first names and links only. No accounts for kids.
