Neon Visualizer
A fullscreen visual instrument that plays along with the music.
Why I made it
My son Beck bought an Xbox 360. Not a new console, the old one. He wanted it because he loved the visualizer, the glowing shapes that move with whatever song is playing.
I wanted to build him one of his own, one that really listens to the music and keeps up with it. That became Neon Visualizer. The softer Neon mode is a nod to that old Xbox glow.
What I built
- Real-time audio analysis that drives scenes, color, and pacing from the beat.
- Two show modes: a festival LED-wall look and a softer neon glow.
- An autopilot that matches scenes and colors to the track.
- A Perform mode that strips the controls down to a stage board.
